It is the mission of the
Center of Applied Space

research, and assess space technologies and support their
employment to the benefit of space and marine research,
exploration,

Promote
innovative application of mature space technologies to address
issues of the user community (operational, conservation,
research, and academic), particularly in the disciplines
associated
with Maritime Awareness. |

Foster the creation and
success of “industry clusters” built around significant space
technology applications. |

Encourage and support
K-20 education initiatives in the sciences, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) within the
context of the applied space technologies. |
